I think I'm going to remodel my Fox. For cycles.

So I want to get into Arduino. And for my first project I'm going to build a railgun. AND. I'm going to try to make it 'drumrolls' PORTABLE! 'gasp'

Staying late at the office again with Dad.

It looks like the only way for me to be able to get the extra functionality I need out of Blender is to add it myself using python. I might go with a floating toolbar if I can. Of course I`ll be posting my learning process.

Well. We were at the hotel working on their network from 11pm to 4am. What a fucking rats nest. Should have gotten a picture. It was awful.

Missed yesterday again. Actually did dick shit yesterday. We took a day off cause we wanted to.

Okay, now I missed two days. This is why I didn't know if this was going to work out.

Do Dee Do Dee Do
At work late again tonight. Dad runs the taxi on Monday and Tuesday so I stay at the store with him usually. Don't get to go home until 3am some nights.
We finally got a tone generator. Been needing one ashould try sculptingt the hotel for a while, now we REALLY need one.

Well. Facebook has bought out the Occulus Rift for $2Billion. Hope this means it's here to stay. Of course it does! That and Sony and Microsoft are apparently working on their own VR headsets. And there's this one obscure one I saw that uses a cell phone... Of course the Minecraft developer skipped out on the VR but who cares? Minecraft is awful except for being moddable. Cubefox FTW! Nah nevermind. Blender is much cooler.

Here's a creative idea of the day I had earlier. Someone said they still weren't happy with VR, it wasn't immersive enough for them. They want to see their hands for example. That would be cool. Now. What if. They replaced the webcam that's been placed on the Rift DevKit2... with similar technology that's in the Kinect or LeapMotion? To sit there and perform 3D capture on your extremities in front of you. Like your hands. The stem system tracks up to wrist movements depending on where you put the reciever. Not fingers. With 3D scanning technology running as well, you could reach out with your hand and make a fist. In the virtual world.

Now, being able to pick something up in the virtual world and feel it in the real world. That's a different problem altogether.

Need to get a heatsink for my HPTX2000. Maybe. Blender 2.7 was releases recently. Should have updated sooner. IT'S TABLET FRIENDLY!!!!!!!!! I needed a keyboard just to use undo during sculpting but no fucking more!!!!!

Missed yesterday. Oh well. It's a mostly daily journal X3

I'm hooked on the mother series. The second of which was the only one released outside of Japan, Earthbound.

Boring day today but we did have a customer. She couldn't print wirelessly from her iPad anymore. Telus brought her a new router, didn't bother to hook any of her stuff up to it 'facepaws'
She might also be buying a Minix which we get to charge to set up.

I waited too late to call the health coverage people. Gotta do that tomorrow.

I'm also hooked on the Serious Sam Series. BRING ON SERIOUS SAM 4 FUCK YEAH!

Our furnace is driving me batshit.Was. We fixed it. Needed a new motor.

We closed the store today. So I took the husky for a walk. Not. A. Lot. Happened today. But. Creative idea of the day time. Saw an article where some guy made a table for laying on his bed. It uses a pulley system to drop down from the ceiling. I want to do the same thing, but with the bed itself. Chains to hold it. Middle of the room, you could swing it a ways.

Pretty boring day today. Just chatted around online mostly. Paced. A lot. Doing that a lot lately. Dad ran to the liquor store just before it closed so we've got booze for the weekend. No motivation at all today. Need to find some. Hopefully hopefully blogging will change that a bit. It's hard though. I don't do a lot.

Think I'm going to do a "creative-idea-of-the-day" thing here. But what to put in it? Whenever I try to actively come up with something, the mind goes blank. Suppose I could do generic shit, but that doesn't feel very creative. "I want to model a fox". Super creative. You know what, let's add detail. So.

I want to model a fox. My fursona. Chinook. He's built like me, 5'10", like 150lbs around there. He has more muscle tone than me. Not a ton, but enough that it's noticeable.

He keeps his energy level low to keep from accidentally starting fires. This causes the deep red colour of his fur, naturally an indicator of his energy level. At his peak it's a bright glowing white. But like most firefoxes, the higher the energy level the more dangerous and aggressive he becomes.

Through a trick of the light he's come up with he can alter his colors to almost anything he can imagine, or turn nearly invisible. than the color shifting he looks like a regular fox with the black paws and white belly and chin. The white extends partway down his thigh and under the base of his tail. There is no more tigerfox. He is all firefox. So he has no stripes.

He dresses in simple clothes mostly, sometimes the light fireproof armour his people wear, updated with modern technology of course. He wears a collar with a nanotech computer with access to a pocket dimension used mostly for storage. It also functions as a thought controlled wardrobe. Access to any of his outfits is just a touch away.
Included is an interactive AR heads up display. He uses sometimes.

He has a sword he prefers to fight with, augmenting it with fire and tech.

Well. I think that's it. For now. A good first run. That started flowing pretty good for a few minutes. That's we're after I think.

I think living with my brother has given me OCD about running taps. Stupid kid can't turn off a tap properly to save his life <.<

Blogging is good for you?

So, apparently keeping a journal is, among other things, help with creativity. And considering the funk I'm in, I need all the creativity I can get. So I guess I'll be doing it more

Wonder if we're going to flood this year. Sure is a fuckload of snow out there.
